    Is it just me who thinks that if i had half of mr townsends great knowledge and walking experience i would be a very lucky and proud man!

    he is to hillwalking what beckham is to enland..only a lot better!

    Yea he is a great and knowledgeble bearded one but his kit reviews are based too much on personal opionion!

    Nice guy and very knowledgeable with it. They've obscured his beard in the re-designed TGO - sorry tgo - which I find a bit sinister. Perhaps they've forcibly shaved it off for design reasons.

    i think that when the next outdoor show comes along its only right that mr townsend gets more of a lookin on the berghaus theatre, we have mountaineering on one hand and gentle downs walking on the other at the show but not much in the way of hillwalking lectures, i spoke to chris about this and he agrees, and would be delighted at the opportunity to do something like this so come on you lot voice your opinions on this matter...we want to see more of chris at the next show!
