Well if nobody wants any impossible pie, I'll just have to take it next door.

< mutter mumble mutter mutter >

All this opening and shutting doors is letting the cold in.

Can someone help me move my rocks, they're very heavy.

Hey MoS, don't take the Impossible Pie away please - I was going to try some as soon as my mouth's free of this butty....

And think of the smut-free benefits of keeping my mouth full!

We'd be a lot nearer to it too if those posts next door where happenings on here.

I fear it's all going to get very confusing

Instead of thinking of the new forum on the Soapbox as a new home think of it as our Holiday Cottage we go to now and again for a visit. This thread will always be home.;-P

Have I entered an alternate universe????

Work keeps me busy for a few days, I come back and the thread has broken 20K (well done Frank) though I haven't had the chance to sample the lovely limericks (anyone got an abridges version they can send me?)

Now I'm seeing double with this thread next door - I don't know where to post!!!!

Now come on you know the blonde inme will only get confused with this................

Limericks are on their way, That blonde woman.

Can we afford to have a 'holiday cottage' what with the Council Tax, repairs, maintenance and the like. Should we consider renting it out for weekends?
    Just a thought.

I'm sorry about the confusion. It just seemed like a good idea.

    Thanks for that MoS )

This Holiday cottage thing is really a finacial worry. Do you think the locals might get angry about us only using the place at the weekends? Don't wnat to get firebombed.............

Wasn't sure where to post, so decided to come here to even it up - 37 posts on each Bennachie thread so far today.

I think we need continuity, so I'd rather stick with one or the other. I'll see which is the most popular when I get back later and go with that.

Hope all you folks heading up/down to the Lakes meet have a good weekend.
I'm going to get out for at least one day, looks like it'll be pretty soggy on Dartmoor, some things never change

Have a good time, whatever you're up to and take care)

    Anyone watch Coast?

Pretty good last night, I thought. Some spectacular coastal scenery down your way MoS!

The Scillies looked awsome, but you'd need a wee boat to appreciate them fully I reckon.

I'm finding it confusing too. Maybe we should keep the other one for weekends?

Well I was away, but I can't pick up Skye's pills until later, so I'm back.

I really enjoyed Coast, but I knew all the places so perhaps I'm just biased. It seemed like a good variety though, everything from china clay, diving on wrecks, fishing in Looe, tin mines, prehistoric graves and the light in St Ives to the Cornish chough.

I thought it was a bit obvious about why the light at St. Ives is special though. They always seem to include a daft experiment.

The stuff about Porthcurno and the cables was fascinating. I've walked past that little hut loads of times, but didn't know what was inside.

And now I know that a really fresh fish should be stiff, before rogor mortis sets in.
But I thought rigor mortis made things go stiff. Is it the opposite in fish? Do they go floppy?
Actually I'm not so sure I did understand it. Now I don't know if I want a stiff fish or a floppy one.

I would always advise Stiff rather than floppy. ;-P

Have you lot not moved out yet? If you stay here much longer you'll have to pay another month's rent.

AND I've just lugged a pile of rocks over to the other place and I'm NOT going to lug them back.

I feel a re-run of the Highland Clearences coming may be due. "Hamish, bring me the matches and tell the minister to get down here quickly."

Porthcurno - Cable and Wireless used to train their tech's there. Sunbathing on the sand, swimming from the beach. AAahh.

By all accounts it wasn't the same when they moved the college to Coventry 8o((
