Some substance apparently beyond the hype of this product line, some feel!

Sold by Firebox.com originally, as the festival goers 'phone charging cooker' by the way. The BioLite refuses to lay downand die! Charges your mobile by the electricity it generates in operation.

It originally retailed around the one hundred and fifty pound mark. It is now available for a whole lot less!

If its to charge your phone then look at the portable chargers as they are very cheap now or a solar panel. My main worry would be finding fuel for it and is it Green timber has this would be hard to keep alight and hence the smoke. Best read the reviews and search other sites for users and ask them questions.

Cheers! My main thought was that it looks very plasticy! And surely that is not good construction for a burner that will be actually on fire!!!

Was using my Kelly Kettle on Saturday... It's great to pop in a canoe, as the bulk is a non-issue and the sort of places one typically travels by canoe tend to have plenty of fuel available (we were paddling down the Tay in beaver country). Would be a waste of space up your typical Munro/Wainright etc. though.

I mentioned going over to the dark side and you immediately thought I meant getting a Jetboil didn't you!!!

    Errr, no...

    Pete.

I almost bought one of these when I was in America last year, it was about £80.

I thought better of it though, as my 12,000 mAh external battery can keep my phone going for days and can charge overnight in my tent or pack.
