    One of the best tips is learn how to cook. Learn why things are as they are e.g. Adding salt to pasta water. If you actually enjoy food rather than just shovelling energy down your throat learn to cook. It is very, very easy.

    most tips given are simple common sense. If your pasta is too big, break it into smaller pieces...wtf!

    I was more agreeing with that bit there really. Agree that the rest listed there is just pure basic common sense. Still, over the years it has amazed me just how many people I have met with all the best kit...yet seemingly no common sense whatsoever in the use of it all!
