I still "use" a map of Dartmoor from 1972. Yes, I do add notable changes - like a reservoir for example... Heights/contours are in feet - so what? Distances are in miles - but I can relate to miles better than to Km. No, it's not usually the one in my pack (I have waterproof ones instead) but in planning a trip it's the map I have turned to first at home for 40+ years and in terms of features of note on the ground as shown on the map, sufficiently little has changed for it to remain useful. And I still have the compass I bought with that map, and that still works too...

Football eh...glad I live in Ayrshire, our season tickets have just gone up by 30%! Still going to cost me more for the two or three matches I manage to get to!

Pity your lot couldn't beat Sheff Utd, Mick, I was looking forward to a semi-final against Charlton! Good to see you avoided relegation

I had a 1970s vintage map covering the Kielder Forest, which didn't show the enormous reservoir in the middle. No problem. I just found out the surface height of the water from a set of stats about the reservoir, along with the position of the dam, then drew round the appropriate contour line and coloured everything inside the line in blue. It worked up to a point, but a lot of roads, tracks and paths were re-routed, and I couldn't even begin to guess what the access was like without a site visit.

I am a Tigers season ticket holder, seems a big rise but depends where you are in the stadium and with a single ticket which matches.

Great occasion at Wembley if wrong result.

Is Europe ready for City fans. City of Culture who would have thought it, not with my accent.

I think our lot are really looking forward to being back in Europe. What do you think of Jelavic?

Bit early to tell but looks like he could form a good partnership with Shane Long. A pity they were both cuptied for the cup final, reckon we'd have won with them!

Rise was to be expected I guess but I suspect as long as we stay up there will be no lack of takers. It's going to be more interesting seeing what happen with part of the East Stand going to away supporters! Sometimes wish I was still down there, like you say things are finally looking up for what is a very under-rated City.

I thought that was flying F14 fighter planes, at least for homo-erotic showers.

Oh yes, Top Gun is an example of modern homo-erotica, sideways glances and posturing.

Used to have a 6 pack but now it's heading towards a barrel! Doesn't bother me as you get more into a barrel...loving my food.

LOL Kate and Emma. If Kate starts posting historic photos of OMers with moobs please bear in mind that some of us have been on a fitness regime since then!
