    We go and stay in Kylesku every year. A good base between Inverpolaidh and Foinaven & Arkle, and it nestles just below the Quinag. The food in the Kylesku hotel is good.

    Walks? Sheesh, take your pick. As well as the SMC guide these are quite good;

    I'd recommend Stac Pollaidh, Suilven, Canisp and Ben More Assynt.

    I stayed in Ullapool which was fine but may be a bit too far south for more northerly peaks. I would say all the above recommended peaks would give you some superb walking and if the weather is fine you won't be disappointed with the scenery, whichever peak or peaks you climb. I enjoyed one of the smaller peaks, Ben Mor Coigach - a long slender ridge that overlooks the Summer Isles, gives splendid vistas of Stac Pollaidh et al to the north and if the sun is shining you will not want to come down. Haven't done Suilven but it's got to be a must, hasn't it? Have fun...

    Quinag, Beinn Mor Coigach & a visit to Achnahaird bay are well worth a visit.

    Foinaven - 2999 and a bit feet.

    Do it now, thus beating the rush if it gets re-surveyed to Munro-status.
