Field and Trek were recently selling this, in red, size large for £55. Recently, as in the last couple of days, but they now seem to be out of stock.

Yes, I just find it a bit suspicious that this jacket, which is almost unheard of in the UK market, was recently on sale for £55 in large red. And now a few days later you're selling this jacket, new and unworn, in large red, for £75.

...he's bought it from F&T, decided it's not for him so he's selling it on (new and well below rrp) - what's your problem?

RRP according to the price tag at Outside (Hathersage) is £175. I bought mine there in a clearance sale for £80. I bought mine because I saw it on the sale rail and at that price I considered it to be a bargain from one of my favorite companies. Had I known F&T were selling it for £55 I'd have probably bought it from them. It was an impulse buy so I didn't research it and paid a bit more. That's life.
