So, maybe people will stop complaining about contrast zips now I guess you don't get the full effect of this until you wear quite a bit of it once..... Ouch.

Not totally sure about the price/durability trade off on all of this.

Good job chrome lets me edit things on this machine! It ate my post again. And again.... I think its less than signs?!!?

250 pounds for a waterproof with a very light face fabric? Rather scary when the similar weight, genuinely non rubbish, competition is under 120. The very light windshirt is awfully pricy for something fragile too.

Don't get me wrong, in many ways I'm happy seeing a mainstream company doing this. They are niche products though.

I see what you mean now. I agree, if it is going to a nice new "vent" at the first encounter with a bramble then you will be very upset having bought it... especially since you could probably get a pro shell jacket for that money... but twice the weight... Not entirely convinced by the whole light weight at any cost.

contrast zips must have been a big seller last year. i like the continiuing use of the subdued colour palette.

and people complain about eyesores and their view being spoilt on the hills...

I think the forum software thinks it's some sort of html tag and throws a wobbly as a result.

On the very light waterproof shell front - yes, it's niche and yes it's expensive, but if you have the dosh to spare and your priority is a shell that's very light and also decently breathable then it makes sense within those confines. I hear what you're sayiung about brambles, though my experience is that Active Shell, normal weight AS anyway, seems tougher than PacLite at least. I tore a big hole in the sleeve of an Oz Pullover with a pretty inoccuous snag on a pointy bit of wire fencing last year.

I bought the GT shoes earlier this year and found it the best pair of trail running shoes I ever have (compare to S..., V... and M... brands). Then, I bought the Comp and it is even better!
