Even for what it is, that's rather a lot. The R1 hoody is only 120, ME's Eclipse hooded top thing 90, Montane's fury 90 etc. Montane's Jackal is more but a heavier weight fabric of course.
(There's some fleeces pushing 200 now and rather likely some over....).

Seems like you're paying quite a bit for some rather marginal features like the full zip, multiple pockets and abrasion things.

I'll be buying the M.E Eclipse hoody. Most Gear prices are going thru the roof not many items that are value for money these days. Up to the individual not to get fleeced by silly pricing

Being contentious, don't you pay a premium for TNF for the "fashion" status

I remember when Windstopper was fairly new TNF had a £199.95 fleece jacket, so this one is quite cheap compared to that. Rather better as well, judging from the description.

TNF actually normally entirely respectable price wise. This thing looks like its aimed to be more of a show piece for establishing brand creditenials than something people will actually buy in any quantity.

(and is consequently priced/ over featured to match.).

A bit like that Eiger extreme stuff from Mammut etc.

I'm actually a tiny bit surprised (relieved?!) that I can't obviously find a pricier fleece than Pati's R4 (230) and that's got a membrane in it. Norrona are up to 200 with a couple of non membrane ones mind.

you need to look at labels that aren't outdoorsy which makes this stuff cheap wanabee fashion tat.

tnf, the outdoors primark of fashion.

ergo it's actually rather a steal...

    buy one now!

It's a hardface microfleece made by a top Italian fabric specialist called Pontetorto with a micro-grid, brushed innner

Do we have a name for this fabric? Pontetorto usually give their fleeces names, like 'TechnoPile', 'TechnoWool', 'TechnoStretch', etc. Well, here's their 'SportSystem' page which lists them...

Oh Tech, they drop the 'H', so 'TecnoPile', etc.
