You'll maybe get folk to admit they are 55 or over, but admit they are'ramblers'?![]()
Have you tried - 'The Ramblers' ??
If we look closely at Jade's post: I think the question is whether she requires ramblers for her project or not. I suggest that Jade contacts her teacher.
I haven't got past 'users' yetWords can mean different things to different people!
Jade, there are lots of 'ramblers' on here, both the walking sort and those with verbal diarrhoea, some of us do both. But as Mike said, it's not a word folk use much to describe themselves....for all sorts of reasons.
If you'd asked for hill walkers, back packers, mountaineers....
....folk obsessed with stoves....![]()
...you may have got a different response.
Maybe you really do want ramblers? - members of the association? or those who think of their walking as 'rambling'?
How about describing the activity (you want your focus group to be involved in) rather than using a label which folk interpret in different ways.
And it's probably worth saying, you're not the first to come along with a questionnaire or request for help and it's not the first time it's been met with some confusion. After some clarification folk usually get the help they want, the forum is a friendly, helpful place on the whole.
So don't be put off.
Good luck![]()
