    yeah, but imagine having a scary clown as your climbing partner. How do you fit crampons on to those big floppy shoes?

    It must have been a pain trying to get his oxygen mask over that red nose too. Unless of course he wore it on the outside.

    It would be a real downer if McDonalds wrappers now became part of the exped junk on the mountain or sherpas in McDonalds uniforms - 'do you want fries with that 1/4 pounder big Yak!'

    Maybe they could put a big giant 'M' on the summit.

    On the clowns subject is it just me or are all clowns just not funny in the slightest?

    I think most clowns get a rather weak "ha ha" of a laugh from some and just scare the rest. I can definitely see McDonalds getting a franchise up on Everest- something to rival the snowdon cafe!

    Big clown shoes would spread the load better. Might have trouble front-pointing though!

    Ian its not just you. Not only are they unfunny - but hteres something a bit sinister about them IMO.

    And aren't Starbucks regular sponsors expeditions? Or am I imagining things again?
