Walk Date: 12th June 2011
Walk Area: Arnside & Silverdale AONB
Another fine & sunny morning saw us parked up at the RSPB reserve at Leighton Moss just after 8am. After first visiting the reserve and taking advantage of having it virtually to ourselves to visit one of hides not previously visited we walked over to the hamlet of Yealand Storrs and then down to the Gait Barrows reserve to visit Hawes Water.
From there we made our way to the Trowbarrow Quarry reserve before returning to the visitor centre for refreshments.
Pictures from the day plus a full route description are now available to view on the website for those wishing to do so.
Regards,
Dave
