    OK.

@ntlworld is supported on windows live mail, but the ports are different because it uses a secure connection. The ports are:

    Pop: 995 (default is 110)

    SMTP: 465 (default is 25)

No need for the cash though Didster, just admit that pink (I mean red) tents are for shirt-lifters.

I like to think of it as light red (it is floral too). Anyway, my husband will kill you for that!

If you struggle with any of the settings Petosus' shout is a good one.

When you start, put you email address in, your password then select mannually configure server settings (see above)

This then pops up another screen where you can change the ports for incoming & outgoing. Note, because this is manually set you will need to set the servers too (smtp.ntworld.com & pop3.ntworld.com)

Didster - Outlook express will not work on Windows 7. You are expected to use Windows Live Mail. I found this article that tells you how to migrate from one to the other. http://ask-leo.com/how_do_i_move_my_...windows_7.html

Thiunderbird is great Diddy - to guard against future e-mails mishaps download Mozbackup and use it to backup your TBird profile regularly (somewhere other than your hard disc); you can then use that to restore all your e-mail if anything happens to it.....that advice is open source and therefore free
