Jon you're right, OMWS does = Outdoors Magic Winter Skills.

The picture was taken on the return day, after spending a brilliant night, snowholing just beyond the Cairngorm Plateau.

Both the day out and the return day were clear blue skies, little or no wind, and firm snow under foot.

What more could one ask for?

Thanks go to Iain of KMS for a brilliant week

That makes sense, I'd narrowed it down to 'Scottish', but once you know where it is, it all falls into place, nice pic. I like the slightly dour Scottish foreground with the promise of brighter things in the distance. I'm always on the wrong hill, so it strikes a familiar chord with me...

And I love the Cairngorm shots, sums up the place on a rare bright winter day
