I just needed to tell someone! What a day, summer came early, lovely.

At work no-one knows what I'm taking about, they think I spent the weekend sewing my socks.

My Napes pics are at http://www.infinitymedia.co.uk/image....php?cat_id=20

    Enjoy!

Looks like a top day, Ian, even if you do all seem to be playing sardines at one point!

Did you carry on up Westmorland Crags past the Sphinx ?

We went up the gully just before the Sphinx rock onto a ridge, then to the summit.

Did I miss much past the Sphinx?

I'll have to have a look at the OS Map again tonight cause I need to write it up for my ML logbook anyway.

I'm not sure! The route is rising to the top of my "to do" list, as we're spending a week in the Lakes in June, so I was just interested, really.

Maybe Guy would be able to shed some light...

As for sardines they're not kidding when they say 'Threading the Needle!' my god!

It was one hell of a tight squeeze getting up past the Needle, down the other side wan't too bad if a little steep.

    Marcus,

Napes Needle has been on my list for years! If you get a good weather day, do it, the scrambling is top draw.

Its great watching the climbers there too, now they're the really mad ones!

When you are stuck in a mind bendingly, mind numbing office all week, I always smile when I'm out on the hills.

But Sunday was a pretty special day I have to admit.
