    Eh you'll still need to stop to eat on most long hill days

    Otherwise you just run out of fuel. That, as opposed to straight exhuastion, is certainly what tends to notably slow me down. Normal walking isn't really hard enough work to do your muscles in.

    I've had one occassion where I was running purely on mint cake. Produced an entertaining stop/go speed pattern....

    Yep, mint cake and chocolate are nightmare fuels, once you start pumping sugar in, you'd better not stop...

    i'm not sure that going for a bimble falls under endurance performance.
