I wish to start blogging again and see that some people are doing it via their mobile devices.

I've tried searching and see that the likes of blogger do it via email but unfortunately I can't use them as they do not support virgin mobile network.

There are many here that blog and can anyone suggest any software that I can put on my phone so that I can write and build in the field then upload via my wifi when I get home.

Any suggestions really would be helpful.

    Thanks

    Hi Simon .....

I don't know much about blogging, so I may be way off the mark here, but is there not a notepad type application on your Nokia that could do the trick ??? I've got it on my N70 and N95

Why does it matter what network you're on? It's just an email.

Anyway, Wavelog is almost ready for S60v5 I think. Never used it myself but that would do the job.

The N5800 has its own inbuilt Nokia Blog software, accessible through the Nokia Suite application.

    Hi again Simon ...

Just had a quick squiz on the Nokia website and apparently Nokia LifeBlog is only for N Series phones, but there is something called Nokia Photos which does the same thing on the 5800 ie synchronising your texts and photos, but I think it's more of an archiving tool than for blogging

Best suggestion yet. There are apps like Wordmobi for S60 v5 phones but you're best talking direct to the bloggers as I no longer do tech reviews here

Yeah, I do. You could just add a new post directly from your phone. It looks like this on a 5800 - fairly usable.

So are you using the wordpress in the browser element of your phone rather than using a standalone piece of software or email/texting it.

If this is the case I take it that I could do this with any blog really.

Well, i've started building the blog again on the home pc. I've just got a couple more things to do then I'll use my mobile to try and do things and see how it goes.

Just in case your interested the website address is http://walkinghikingbackpacking.blogspot.com/

Thanks for the help. I'm now just trying to connect to the likes of McDonalds free wifi so that when I'm out and about walking if I happen to stumle upon somewhere with free wifi I can use it so that it saves on my gprs although virgin only charge 30p per day for upto 25mb so that will probably serve me well.

    Thanks again

    Simon
