    hi all, new member i have bought a pair of mammut mt. trail xt gtx men dk'brown just wondering what crampons are compatible with these boots if any?

    Technically they're B0 - ie. they should not be used with any crampons. I've got a pair of them, when they were still under the Raichle name, and would not want to use them with crampons for anything difficult or graded, but they could be used at a push. A lot of people on here use Kahtoolas and microspikes - they would work with the boots, which are fairly stiff to start with but will definitely soften, making any more stiff crampons potentially a bit dodgy.

    I've got the women's version of that boot and used them with Grivel G10s (with Classic binding) this winter in the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia. They're absolutely fine, and indeed I have seen them described in some publications as crampon compatible. I wouldn't hesitate to use these with the G10s for winter walking use.
