    Hi,

Soem friends and I flying up to Inverness next week to got to Ross-shire, hopefully to enjoy the rough and tumble of An Teallach

Anyway, we are arriving at slightly different times, so the first few will take a car and get some shopping in and then meet the later ones en route somewhere. We don't know the area, so any suggestions for a nice spot to meet gratefully recieved! ( we won't be doing any walks as such at this stage )

    Thanks ... Simon.

Maybe the Aultguish Inn on the A 835, about half an hour drive from Inverness?

thanks guys, yes they're driving too, ideally we'd meet somewhere well on the way ... the Aultgish looks like a great option: http://www.aultguish.co.uk/

    any more appreciated!

Jon - do you have any suggestions for short to medium walks around Dundonnell? If we get to do An Teallach on day 1 then most of us won't have the legs for anythiong too strenuous on day 2!! Coastal or waterside walk might be a nice alternative.

If the weather ain't great then we may not get to go up AT, so I guess I'd better get a plan B ready.

    Cheers.

Half days walks near Dundonnell are the Corbett, Sail Mhor and the Graham Beinn Ghobhlach. Both have great views.

Whilst you're in the area, the wee suspension bridge at theCorrieshalloch gorge is well worth a visit, especially if the river is in spate.

sorry simon i was right acrross on eht east coast sort of 25 miles from inverness, applecross is beautiful although the pubs overrated in my opinion. Scotland does have the advantage you can just go and walk, id happily move there
