    Hi
Have now booked flights (Easyjet to Nice, Corsica air to Calvi) for mid june, so I must be serious about this!. Have seriously planned to 'do a paddy' i.e. no more than 6-7 kgs incl tent, but, regarding refuges, food and possible treats re hotels, how much is regarded as comfortable re budgeting for cash euros? Everyone says it is expensive relatively, but what does that mean exactly? So looking forward to it. BTW travelling june 18th. Does this assume no snow?

    Hi,

Did you check out http://corsica.forhikers.com/gr20 ?

Seems like a pretty decent site regarding all things GR20

Thanks for that. It is a really good site. How fit/agile does one really need to be? I have walked in the Alps and done a few aretes but this looks like it is on a totally different scale.

Have you listened to the Book Club Podcast with Paddy Dillon on the subject of the GR20?

If I recall correctly, it touches on prices, weather and difficulty/fitness.

    You'll find it here: http://www.theoutdoorsstation.co.uk/...book_club.html

Thank you so much for that. Have had a good listen and realise that I have, in fact, done tougher stuff re chains, ladders etc in the alps so the cirque de la solitude no longer holds me in the grip of fear and dread. Already musing re the GR5 as this was his final point!! Anyone done that?
