What Do You Think Are The Most Useful Small Items To Take With You Outdoors?

I was looking at this article on the such like, meant mostly for American Thru Hikers essentially. I thought it would have included more luxury items than it actually does do, really myself. There are herein listed some very basic first aid necessities of course, that certainly are essentials more than the usual thoughts of typical extra take along luxury items like Ipods etc, and other such modern entertainment technology items.

The stuff listed on this other persons list are much more like what I was expecting above here instead, I think.

I wonder what the collective term for a group of Sherpas would be?

I think the question should be 'what not to take'.

Yes, what not to take might well have been an easier ask perhaps, somehow I'm now thinking myself too, Taz!Still, the question is what it is!

Dave, Sherpas seems actually to be the name for the collective group as an ethnic whole there in fact, bud.It is already generic as the terminology goes.

Judging by what some of these Thru Hikers seemingly end up wanting to be carrying, well that is not such a silly suggestion at all perhaps there really, lol . I would not be at all surprised to see a good few go booking the services of paid trail porters on a regular basis as well. To be fair here too though I've heard of a number of Thru Hikers using the postal/parcel services to mail multitudes of all kinds of stuff ahead of them, to use later on. In a way paying for others to carry their kit in essence I guess you could call it exactly that.

They know what size feet socks you need?
I tend to think a mobile is most definitely an essential item to take out and about with one really, but not exactly for that same reason there for calling on the helpful services of MR, meethinks.
