Aha! This month's TGO I noticed is covering in depth the new Snowdonia Way, the brand new long distance route for the UK! Horray! The long distance USA path at secomnd link sure looks interesting too I think. http://www.tgomagazine.co.uk/magazine/latest-issue/

New trail in Baja, California, USA too as well now! One of my all time favourite armchair adventure books was about that place, written by a guy from here in Tunbridge Wells in the eighties, who walked the entire Baja coastline, feasting on wild cactus and rattlesnakes to supplement rations carried for the hike.
