January meet - winter weekend, anybody

This thread picks up a suggestion by -Dave- in another thread:

Last January, I spent my birthday weekend in the Lake District and I'd be happy to do so again, either in a tent or camping pod, or (preferably) a bunkhouse or hostel.

Perhaps Patterdale / Glenridding area? Or Great Langdale? Suggestions welcome.

My proposition would be Great Langdale (for their heated pods). Walking wise - weather and equipment dependant; Langdale Pikes by Whitegill (could be some nice, easy winter gully action) or Bowfell by the Band (bit of a plod but safe enough in winter, reward being superlative views).

Lingmoor is a delight in the winter, perfect for a easy doss around and minimal gear needed.

Yup, weekend of Friday 20 - Sunday 22 January 2016 is good for me. Great Langdale NT campsite is fine too.

Not long now, any more takers?

Any thoughts on routes for those who are going? Maybe the classic Langdale Pikes route? Or a trip out to Sergeant Man and High Raise?
