With the Spine Race along the Pennine Way only just finished, one of the racers is now on his way back to Edale. I wasn't expecting that!

Javed Bhatti's progress can be followed on Open Tracking... which shows his current location being at Byrness...http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/javadpennine16.cfm#

He's planning to cover the north-south trek along the Pennine Way in 12 days. I'll only be able to follow it whenever I have internet access over that time, as I'll be travelling most of that time.

Doing it back again over 12 days will probably feel like a gentle warm down

Crikey... I've been away for three days in Ireland... talking about Iceland and the French Alps... and Javed has covered the Pennine Way from Bellingham to Keld!

The weather has suddenly turned horribly wet, so I guess it's going to get tough from here onwards. Best of luck to him!

I blinked... and he finished... and it took him a lot less time than planned!

    Congratulations!
