I am on a real coffee journey that started a couple of years ago.

It started with a vintage Italian hand lever press machine, went onto another lever press, onto an Expobar and then an Aeropress & Handpresso

The Expobar lives next to the fridge in the garage and is my everyday, couple per day, grind my beans (as I need them) machine.

It is very 'faffy' but I enjoy the whole experience and trying to get consistency of pour is all part of the fun.

While away, with the business I use a Handpresso - now that can pour a very nice cup of coffee, with excellent crema and the preparation can be done before you go with the reusable pods and carry case.

I found the Aeropress a lot of messing around and just haven't got used to it but it is having a trip with me next week into the Lakes. I'll grind a bag of El Salvador, Finca and slurp away.

I've got another Handpresso that uses pods. You can't put your own ground coffee into it. Happy to discuss if anyone would like.

I buy coffee beans regularly and now I am beginning to understand the taste and complexity of each roast and particular beans.

It's a hobby, it can be a very expensive hobby but like a good tent some things are worth paying for.

    Rob

Aye, it is! Very nice to enjoy a good cup of coffee out and about in the hills on a wildcamp for sure. Makes all the difference, I too will most definitely concur.
