After the last few threads, I'd like to propose a meet the weekend of 18-20 March - lake district, Yorkshire or Peak district - so I can test out my new tent (compromise 3 season jobbie due to budget). Drawback - I will have to bring my 2 eight year olds but they go to bed relatively early, and shouldn't affect anyone else. As far as I can tell it doesn't clash with any of the other meets organised.

Are you planning on bringing the newborn, joe? I don't think the other half would have got out the house at that stage!!

Yes that weekend is good (providing the money don't run out!). Someone bring a film camera, we'll get this horror flick off the ground!

I can probably make it (depending on transport - it's Grand Prix weekend which means Richard will be watching Michael Schumacher win again)

I'm happy to do any organising/co-ordinating, but I have limited knowledge of campsites/bunkhouses etc. so need some advice on where. I could also do the following weekend, but its the start of the Easter hols and is perilously close (for me) to when we go to Australia.

I want to do both, they are both great weekends for me and I am trying to get out at least once a month. Plus I don't want to be at home sulking when people are off doing Winter Skills! Would much prefer 18-20 to any other March date, Alison. Can I take it you're definitely on for end of Feb then, Mills? I'll do some research...

OK, I'll let the other half know its Grand Prix, so there will be no objections to the rest of us gallivanting off without him.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Will need to check with the 'social secretary' at home first though.

Has anyone booked the wind & rain gods?

Great, but please can someone give me some ideas on where's a good place to go. Do people want a bunkhouse as well as camping? I'm away til tomorrow lunchtime - at Rheged, incidentally!!! Not camping!
