I've got these pictures I took somewhere in Sussex on July 28 last year. You can see them at http://www.mjausson.com/2001/walk28Jul01.htm The problem is that I can't for the life of me figure out where they're taken. I think it's Sussex. Can you help me?

Some things I remember about the village where I parked. There was a free public car park with toilets on the south side. Also to the south from the car park was a fantastic view. The High Street ran east-west to north of the car park. At the eastern end it turned north, passing the entrance to a rather down-at-heels recreation ground. I guess the Harewood gatepost (http://www.mjausson.com/2001/img/28Jul01/05harewood.jpg) is really the best clue.
    Anybody got any ideas?
    Cheers,

I dunno about Sussex, but I'm sure I've seen this http://www.mjausson.com/2001/img/28Jul01/03shade.jpg in the The Lord Of The Rings film.

That would be New Zealand then. :-) I do think though that if I'd hit NZ instead of Sussex I would have remembered. At least I hope so.

Ps: The large house in the background of http://www.mjausson.com/2001/img/28J...oasthouses.jpg is a boarding school. Come on, how many places in Sussex can there be with topless oast houses and a boarding school?

If it is any help you were definitely in east sussex and I think Harewood estate is just off the northdowns way. Alfriston seems to ring a bell?

    Any good?
