Remember the Coniston Coppermines meet last year? Well this year, no smashed sump up the rough drive, no long walk back up from the pub... This year we're relocating to Holly How YHA - about 15 mins out of the village, but no quite so challenging

I'm not block booking the place - book yourselves in with the YHA if you want to join us and add your name to the list so we know who's about The YHA has a special offer on for the next few days, quote memories-002 when you book in order to get a bargain place.

That was a great meet and a fab walk in the snow.

May come along but would have to camp for this one

as Ella is particularly partial to the Coniston Fells.

I value the sump on my car so I'll be attending, some more pesky wainwrights need to be visited

It's on my doorstep, so I could conceivable be a 'day visitor', but at the moment I have no idea what I'll be doing on those dates. I'll probably know the day before!

'Fraid so The good news is, I have three dorm spaces free as I booked half a dozen while the offer was on So, the first three peeps who PM me to say they definitely want one at an exorbitant £17 for the weekend...

Would be interested in attending but I can't confirm quite yet. Some forward planning needed at work before I can commit fully. Will there be a deadline for the decision?

No deadline from me, Yavanna. If you can book a place at the YHA you're in

You wait ages for an OM meet then three come along at once

I've the same problem as Chewie and the Major.

The three locations - Haworth, Coniston, Threlkeld - are all a long way from here and I can't afford that much time away in so short a period (and there's also the cost of the diesel).

I had a really great time at the Coniston Coppermines meet earlier this year but as I have to ration myself a bit in Jan and Feb I'd prefer to explore a new area (I've already walked a fair bit in the Coniston Fells). So, sadly, I think I'll have to pass on this one.
