I took some on my phone but the quality isn't brilliant of course. Made a mistake of telling my OH about flying boulders and wiskey tasting...I may not get permission to go again

I washed all my gear in the bath except my boots...not looking forward to scrubbing those!

    How are you Becky?

Oh just out of interest, which gully did we go up (Bristly)?

On photos, sinister gully looks different, longer as well with a leaning stone at the top.

Im good Recovered now except bruises covering my knee caps and a massive one across my shin thats been growing steadily over the last few days!!

I did the grizzly process of boot cleaning sunday when i got in, left them to soak in a bucket while isoaked in the bath then scrubbed and packed em with newspaper - sorted.

    Lol flying bolders

BBC News site this evening says, "Winds of 86mph have been recorded at Capel Curig in Conwy". Last Thursday afternoon I was walking Crimpiau, north of the climbing barn, in just a long sleeved base-layer with lovely warm sunshine.

It looks like you chose the right weekend Maria!

From WA Poucher, which I bought secondhand in Knutsford, before getting a lift with Milly:

About the North ridge of Tryfan

'Many parts of it [the route]are steep and slippary, and there are a few tricky bits where a convinently placed handhold assists the passage. It rises sdiagonally R round speculative corners and past the "Cannon"....

Ahead rises the last obstacle in this sporting course and since it consists entirely of rock it is best to tackle it direct from the point where the track ends agfainst the cliff.'

I just love the tone of that writing.

I'm a Poucher fan too. I like the phrase 'speculative corners'

I just did my best. Made it there an' back. Well worth it...

... but certainly cannot describe the experience in as prosaic a manner, I'm sure, as Poucher (nor you two ) ‚?? neither with words nor scrambling ability!

Note to self: Must check out that Poucher person (gender not known {To me. Assumed male!}).

Outside o' the box. I find it fascinating how one meet, attended by fifteen-plus peeps, gets over four hundred posts in four months, with nearly nine thousand views...

... and some bloody good photos, to boot.

    (I'm still buzzin')
