Good to know she can 'step down'.

She seems to be a bit of a fake walker to me, so pleased she doesn't need a helicopter or other transport to make this step

Funnily enough, I did a controlled and scientific survey of outdoor enthusiasts - well, more a straw poll of a few OM-ers - and on a scale of 1-10 La Bradbury scored an impressive 8/10 for being an irritating cow on't telly.

    True; Milly is my witness

A similar srvey of ... er, just me actually... found that Charlie Borman got a massive 10/10 for being an utter wanker.

Fair enough, Pink. I would too (and it's not her nose that catches my eye). But she's still irritating on the box*.

    * 'Box' as in telly not as in ...

The ironic thing is skip, if you did, (let's face it most of us would), her nose probably would catch your eye at some point!

I hope she doesn't drop them then! I bleddy hate people who drop tissues in the hills.

Anyway, have I missed something about Julia, did she use a helicopter instead of walk?

Something about her grates with me on telly. Thought I'd only seen her on Wainrights so just googled her to see what fuss is about - hadn't realized it was the same annoying woman I'd seen on watchdog. Coincedently we went to same primary school.

I was a few years ahead of her - not there at the same time. I fancied Nancy Sinatra & Mary Hopkins at the time anyway.

    What Julia's site says:

"JULIA headed for Iceland to embark on the toughest walk of her life. Her challenge was to walk the 60 kilometres of Iceland's most famous hiking route, a trail that just happens to end at the unpronounceable volcano that brought air traffic across Europe to a standstill in 2010.

With the help of Icelandic mountain guide Hanna, Julia faces daunting mountain climbs, red hot lava fields, freezing river crossings, deadly clouds of sulphuric gas, swirling ash deserts and sinister Nordic ghost stories as she attempts to reach the huge volcanic crater at the centre of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier.

Considering the struggles that walkers / ramblers went through to gain access to the hills, it amazes me how little sympathy some still have for mountain bikers and other hill users. This is definitely not all walkers, many are not at all bothered as I don't fly past startling people and always act with courtesy. However a select few still want exclusive rights to the fells. Unfortunately a few of these have said they are members of the ramblers association when I have had the odd altercation with them, leaving me with an unfair stereotypical view of the clubs members. I once pointed out the trespass and right to roam argument which totally fell on deaf ears.

Does Julia B use a helicopter to get her bike up a mountain too DM? She's tried climbing on TV too. Was one of those there news/current affairs lasses they got to try something, new outdoors. One did the birches in a sea kayak!!!

    Innuendo alert!!!
