    Hi folks,

    Just a thought.

If I asked Jon to put up a car share thread would anyone conisder using it?

Could be handy for getting to meets or away on solo trips to save bringing the car all the time.

    Cheers,

    Stephen

Sounds like a good idea. Even better though what about a minibus? That way a dozen folks can all go solo camping together!

I agree Stephen, solitude is no good unless you are sharing it with others!

It took years to persuade OM to have a 'Classifieds' section. I wouldn't hold your breath.

    Sounds a good idea Stephen.

I'd be happy when I'm able, to car share, as have before.

Only not a mini-bus, to dear to hire and if IRC you need a special licence to drive a mini-bus, depending on how many people you are carrying.

Any way it will be at least Sept,Oct. before I'd be even thinging about hitting hills again

Hope fully see you around then, if not maybe if I make OMSW12, as you know I still want to do winter climbing course and hope to be about that week, maybe do a few 'danders' before course!!

    Slantie.

    Paul.

    Grump's

We have them to in NI, only problem is that you can't drive at more than 45mph, because of speed limiter, nor can you take it/them out of country, IE. England, with out special permission and a 'qualified licence' to drive a mini-bus. Or you need to use a council/school driver, which massively adds to price.

    Stefion,

It's one hell of a drive from Belgium! It might be better if you got train/s to near where you want to be and get picked up at station, as you've done before.

could also be cheaper, dur to the price of fuel, especally in UK, far bearer than on continent.

    Slantie,

    Paul.

PS. If you where near near where I was going and wasn't too far out of way, you know, if I could I'd drop you off.

    Hi Paul,

Would you believe it works out just as quick to drive as the train\flyingand its a hell of a lot cheaper.

I am lucklily enough that I get a tank of fuel for free when i travel
