If it was a job application it would say...

The ideal candidate for this kind of walk would be someone who has over-indulged over Christmas and wants to get in good shape for New Year. Experience of the West Pennines not essential, but must be willing to walk as a team.

I might dust off my outdoor gear for this (depending on family commitments). I will ask Mrs RaR and Small RaR if they would like to come along too.

I live on Winter Hill, on the Bolton side, so it isn't too far for me to travel!

4, 5 and 6. RaR, Mrs Rar, Small RaR (depending on family commitments).

The numbers will double if all the RaRs turn up! Don't forget to call a meeting time at some point. If it's at the railway station, then you know the times I can get there. If it's somewhere else, then so long as I can get from the train to the meeting point in time, slipping and sliding on the ice and doing Michael Jackson 'Moonwalk' impressions while trying to get uphill, then that's fine.

10ish is OK for me. I just hope I can check OM over the next week on my sister-in-law's computer. It's usually so full of viruses, trojans, malware and spyware that it's really only any good for losing credit card and bank account details on!

I can collect Paddy. Where would you recommend to park (somewhere easy to get into/out of as Mercs don't like the snow too much )

My train will roll into Horwich Parkway station at 1013. I've never got on or off a train there, so I don't know if it has one, two or more exits. Anyhow... I'll be in cosy Paramo... green and black... probably with a grey pack.
