You'll probably have to name the day first... then see who's available.

You thought of which day yet? I can't do the 29th but should be able to make any of the other days (subject to wife approval). I can also pick up people from the station if required.

(I live just outside Warrington so not too far away)

That's OK by me... trains'll be running unless there's another bout of chowse!

Trains arrive at Horwich Parkway at quarter past every hour... and they depart at quarter past every hour, until it gets dark, and then they're all over the place with timings.

(chowse... or do I mean chaos?)

I'll be getting the train round the hill from Burnley, where I'll be bivvying at my brother's house. I'll probably climb Pendle Hill while I'm there, Black Hameldon, and maybe even sample a long day's walk over into Yorkshire and back.

ah right i just had a quick look at train line and it seems u can go via preston which means 1 change or via blackburn which involves 2 changes. doesnt seem too much difference time wise though funnily the 2 changes seems to be bit quicker journey, i suppose it depends which station in burnley is closest to your brothers house .

I can travel any time, so if you get a couple more takers, then I'll fit in with whatever time suits them.

The 29th is OK with me. I like early starts but can pretty much fit in with whatever.

Any objections to me bringing the dog?

Dog is fine by me too. I have eaten dog in the past. (It's called 'Chinese Rabbit' in the shops!) And I guess it means I won't need to bring sandwiches.

A bloody shame indeed. Another time no doubt, just a question of finding a day.

I meant I'm ok with the 30th. Was trying to do too many things when I made the last response and 30 suddenly became 29 ?!
