    Walk Date: 29th August 2010
    Walk Area: Local

It's a Bank Holiday Sunday and I've had enough of driving so around midday we decided to have a walk into Morecambe from home following the shoreline.
Around 6 miles in total we walked down to Half Moon Bay just in time to see the ship arriving from the Isle of Man. Across the field at Half Moon Bay our route then crossed the old Heysham Head site and the Heysham Barrows before taking the recently renovated promenade to the Battery. After a cuppa and a look at the windsurfers we made our way back passing through Heysham Village on the way.
Pictures are now available to view on the website for those wishing to do so.
    Regards,
    Dave
