    Hello

I've recently been given a Mountain Equipment Helium 600 sleeping bag. I haven't tried it yet, so I'd like to hear opinions from yours before doing so... Here were I live (Spain), there aren't really cold temperatures by these spring days, but, anyway, I'd be glad to know how far in the autumn/winter will I be able to use it, in case I do some mountain outings, etc.

By what I've read, ME is awell regarded brand, but I've suffered too many shivering nigths in the wild, and I've became highly suspicious with sleeping bags and specified temperatures.

Well, I hope to hear from your experiences and opinions. Thanks!

You've been given a ME Helium 600 sleeping bag? Lucky you. It should be good down to about 2/3°C or even 0/-2°C with a few clothes on.

Shouldn't venture out when Big Billy Goat Gruff is around though.

    Hi

Well, in fact I was given it asan in advancepresent for my birthday If I'm confortable at around 0º I will be happy. Till now, I couldn't almost close an eye at these temperatures, although wearing a fleece inside my old bag, so I suppose it will be a big step forward.

    Thanks for your answer

it may be too warm for spain.the website says comfort limit -7,comfort -1.i have the 250 and will be using it this weekend in either snowdonia or lakes.(we still havnt decided!)may need to wear clothes in mine though.

you wont need a bag of that temperature rating in spain!! want to swap?!!!

    Hehehe

You are very thoughtful, but I think I will see how works... I'm not afraid of the warm days... what scares me are the chilly days in the mountains. Here can bequite cold in winter and early spring. But, as I said, I will rarely go out when it's below 0º
