I am just selling off some gear I have, due to a change in direction. P&P is high, but bids start at 1p!

    Links to my eBay:

Regatta 40L Bag & Mat, starting at 50p:

agreed, prices are reduced. to be honest I was just saving money on the insertion fees and wasnt expecting loads of bids to get in a lotta cash.

Also that first link re the sleeping bag is not working, shows you some vango one when you click for details.

    cheers

You've been fortunate not to have your auctions pulled on Ebay due to their policy on excessive postage and packing charges.

As the other poster states I can see what you're trying to do but to someone who you haven't met (i.e your prospective bidders) it looks underhand and sneaky.

I have no interest in seeing Ebay making more money as they're already in a fairly monopolistic position but I have found that with more than 1000 trades on there the best policy is a 1p start, no reserve and p&p at cost for recorded delivery + 1 for packaging. Your insertion fees are cheaper the lower you start. You're much better off drawing in more bidders with a low start than putting them off.

    Just my two penneth.
