    Japan

I'm visiting Tokyo next week with work. In that trip there's time to go and climb Mt Fuji. Has anyone done this? From what I've been told it can all be done up and down in a day - but it's a LONGGGGG ole trek.. Apparently I need oxygen #gulp

wow, I'm jealous, that will be an amazing experience.

Don't think you'll need oxygen though as its only around 3,800m, but it will be a fair old hike nonetheless, and your body will feel the reduced oxygen levels, so take it easy and go slowly.

just checking out this site, https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6901.html and you may have just missed the climbing season, so perhaps best check to see what options are available for you to climb it, you might have to hire a guide, if only to avoid climbing alone!

Many thanks, that's really useful. Just my luck to have missed the season!
Hopefully it will still be ok...
