    Sweaty Feet = Blisters!

    Hi All,

Just finished the West Highland Way but was plagued again by blisters - I seldom suffer from blisters when tackling a munro. I typically wear wear Salewa Alp trainer mids or Scarpa R Evo plus with bridgedale socks.

Recently I've tried Gehwol cream, Injinji toe-liner socks, thinner bridgedale socks, walking with and without liner socks, surgical spirits.......

I noticed that within 30 mins of walking on day 2 of the WHW that my socks were wet due to sweat (it was a dry day and my boots were dry when I put them on). Anyone else experience this and if so what did you do to tackle the issue?

    Ever try liner socks?

lots of times they can assist with better wicking and less friction.

I haven't had a problem since I started using proper walking socks. Originally Alpkit, but now usually Bridgedale Woolfusion Trail Ultra Light.

    Hi Gary ...

A quick Google seems to show that the footwear you mention is Goretex lined. Maybe that's the issue ???
