    Hi All

I usually do wild camps in The Lakes or Snowdonia and have only once ever wild camped in the Peak District. Not got enough money to get to the Lakes or Snowdonia this weekend but looking to get some winter wild camps in and doing one this Saturday in the Peak so was wandering if anyone has any recommendations they could email me...

    Thanks! :-)

The shooting cabins below Grinah Stones on Bleaklow, ref: sk 144957. Alternatively Crow stones close by are in a splendid location with enough cosy corners and suitable flat grassy ground.

Went to Snowdonia in the end on Saturday, soon regretted it though. As we went up the road to the Roman Road Car Park in the Carneddau we had to turn back because a tree was down, then went the other way round and the wind and rain was so bad it has brought the telegraph lines down into the road. We got to the car park and we got out and tried walking, only to find we could't actually walk into the gales and horizontal rain so gave up. Then tried Cwm Eigiau and same thing there so gave up. Looked at all the campsites in Snowdonia, and not one single tent at any of them, just one at the private site at the Llanberis Pass. To make up for the lack of an outing we managed to get to the Peak today and did the Roystone Grange Trail.

Thanks for the suggestions though as I have noted them down on my OS map for the future. Ta!
