    Recommend me a shirt

With apologies for being an old fuddy-duddy, I much prefer a shirt as a "mid-layer" - so, please recommend me one. Back in the day, I favoured Tiso's own-brand woolen offering, and then a rather nice fleece type shirt which is now on its last legs. This is for autumn / winter / spring hill-walking in Scotland.

    Many thanks. Mike

Rohan have a very wide range, some of them warm/fleece, so I think have to be the obvious place to look.

I have (and are currently wearing) a rather nice medium weight merino shirt from Finisterre, but they're seemingly not doing them this year.

Many thanks - funnily enough, I'm thinking of this - https://www.rohan.co.uk/mens-travel-...rt-Long-Sleeve - which does look like a solution. This said, the largest they do is XL which would seem to be 45-47 in chest, and I'm 48-50 -

I guess I'll have to try one on when next I'm near their Perth shop.

Rohan sizing is quite generous, so you might be lucky. AFAIK Jack Wolfskin also do shirts in fleece material, but I have no idea what sizes they're available in.

Funnily enough, I know JW shirts fit fine, but discounted the one I tried on as it was essentially a flannel material. I'll research them a bit more.

Edit - and having done so, fine that particular one to be 100% polyester - otherwise known as "fleece" - the problem may be resolved! My thanks.
