Have booked some time off work for the end of March and have been wanting for a while to walk part of the Southern Upland Way.

Has anyone here walked it? What's it like? Won't have time to walk the whole lot, so which bit is most interesting/isolated etc? I was thinking Stranraer to Moffat might be good, going by the map and what I remember of the countryside round Leadhills way.
