Started this walking malarkey after Easter 2004 when my son 'did' Snowdon with his Cadet group (I decided a bit of bonding was in order). I now walk fortnightly with a friend who has been a walker for over 10yrs, and feels it his duty to wear me out. Alternate weeks, I do a less strenuous 6 miler in the Peak District.
